Has anyone tried lowball cribbage with three players? How do you build the crib?

We do the standard 5 card deal and each discards 1. Dealer adds a blind card.

Pegging is chaos with three people. We use a clockwise order and say go clearly.

In lowball, the blind card often wrecks your plan. Thats part of the fun.

We play to 60 and lowest score wins. The third player makes it swingy.

We tried 6 cards and 2 discards, but it took too long.

Make sure you use a three track board or rotate colors. Otherwise the score gets messy.

Lowball plus three players is a great teaching tool. It forces careful play.

We keep a cheat sheet because lowball scoring is easy to forget.

Agreed. We list all points on the table so new players do not get confused.
