Re: Mary Schriefens boards in the Smithsonian list
Does anyone have the Smithsonian catalog entry for Mary Schriefens antler boards?
I found a brief listing but no photos.

catalog entry for Mary Schriefens antler boards
The catalog uses her full name and mentions whitetail sheds. I will look for the record number.
Check the American History folk art collection search page. It is a bit clunky.
If you find the listing, post the catalog number so others can search by it.
Those boards are beautiful. I would love to see a close up of the peg track.
I asked the Smithsonian by email once and they sent a single low res photo. It exists.
There is a local story that she signed the underside of some boards.
If I get the catalog number, I will add it here.
I found one entry labeled as a cribbage board made from deer antler, circa 1880s.
Great, thank you. I will reach out for more details.
