Re: Lowball cribbage: avoid 15s checklist
I made a checklist for lowball to avoid accidental 15s. What would you add?
So far: dump 5s, avoid 5 with any 10 value, avoid 7-8.

avoid accidental 15s
Add 6-9 and 4-6-5 as danger combos. In lowball I try to keep uneven gaps.
Watch for runs that hide 15s. A 3-4-5 is both run and 15.
In pegging, avoid the count 10 unless you can block 15.
Keep pairs apart. Two 4s are accidental points waiting to happen.
We use a small cheat sheet on the table. Helps new players.
Also avoid 8-7-0 counts during pegging. It invites 15.
If you must keep a 5, make sure the rest of the hand is high cards only.
In lowball, we still score nibs and heels. Remember those sneaky points.
Great list. I copied it to our house rules.
