Re: Flipping antler boards mid-game?
Some antler boards flip part way through the game. Has anyone played on one?

Yes. The peg holes run up the tine, then you flip and continue on the other side.
The flip usually happens around 60 points. It is a fun ritual.
Does it slow the game down? I imagine pegs are hard to move on antler.
It is slower, but the board is a showpiece.
We had a traveling board carved from antler. The holes were shallow but it worked.
I would love to see a photo of the flip layout.
If the holes are not consistent it can be hard to peg accurately.
The flip sounds like a nice moment for a break between hands.
If I find the photo, I will post. Some of those boards are in private collections now.
