Anyone still play the 5 card version to 61 points? I only see the 6 card deal now.

5 card version to 61 points

I teach it to new players sometimes because it is faster. You still discard 2, so the hands are smaller.

We do 61 in pubs. Its more relaxed and you can finish a game quickly.

The pegging phase feels tighter because you have fewer cards to work with.
