When its my crib I feel like I still leave points on the table. What are your go-to discards?
Example hand: 4, 5, 6, 9, K, K. I usually keep 4-5-6-K and toss 9-K, but I wonder if feeding the crib is better even if the hand is weaker.

My rule: if its your crib, toss points even if the hand loses a little. Pairs and 5s are gold in the crib.
In your example I would keep 4-5-6-9 for a better run/15 mix and toss K-K. The crib loves the pair.
I also weigh how far I am from 121. Early game I push the crib more. Late game I protect the hand so I can peg out.
Pairs and 5s are still the best crib fuel, but two face cards are a safe toss too.
Thanks for the tips. I have been playing too defensive even when its my crib. Going to start tossing pairs more often.
